UFC 322-Fighters, Picks, Predictions & Where to Watch
UFC and Madison Square Garden are a match made in heaven. This November, the biggest MMA company returns to New York for its UFC 322 event. MSG will be a home to one of the most anticipated matches of the year. Islam Makhachev, the former lightweight champion, will go against the official UFC welterweight champion, Jack Della Maddalena. While the main event is taking away all the spotlights, the co main event is no less exciting. It will be a flyweight duel for the title between the reigning champ, the legendary Valentina Shevchenko, and the top contender coming from strawweight division, Weili Zhang.
In this article we’re going to walk you through all the main participants in the UFF 322, talk about the fighters, their chances against each other, before we move to the subject of how to stream UFC for free, which will be of interest to many readers due to fact that this event is less than two days away, and not everyone can afford PPV. Let’s start with:
Date & Location of UFC 322
As we said, this event is less than a day away and it is scheduled for November 15th, 2025. The location is already mentioned Madison Square Garden, New York, USA. Dana White and UFC know how to pick the locations for their top events, and judging by the decision to host the UFC 322 in New York, we are sure they’re expecting a spectacle, and so do we. The date and venue are all set, and we’re sure so are the main fighters that will hold the event on their backs.
Major Fighters in UFC 322: Della Maddalena vs. Makhachev
There will be plenty of fighting at UFC 322. Yet, there are too many fighters participating to cover them all. In addition to Della Maddalena vs. Makhachev, and Shevchenko vs. Zhang, we will also have Leon Edwards vs. Carlos Prates, Beneil Dariush vs. Benoît Saint Denis, Baysangur Susurkaev vs. Eric McConico, Roman Kopylov vs. Gregory Rodrigues, Bo Nickal vs. Rodolfo Vieira, Erin Blanchfield vs. Tracy Cortez, Kyle Daukaus vs. Gerald Meerschaert, and Angela Hill vs. Fatima Kline as just some of the top duels. Of course, we can’t cover them all in one short article, so we’re going to focus only on the main and co main event.
Jack Della Maddalena

JDM is a peculiar fighter, with a more than interesting career. The Australian didn’t have a glorious start to his MMA career, as he kicked off with two defeats. Yet, that didn’t deter him from aspiring for greatness, as he won each of the consecutive matches until he was finally an UFC champion. As of now, he holds an astonishing 18-2 record. In the UFC he is 8/8 with 5 stoppages. A dangerous fighter, who is being unfairly underrated coming into this title bout. The title came in his possession during the summer when he won the belt against Belal Muhammad via unanimous decision. It was an impressive win, and so were his previous triumphs against the likes of Gilbert Burns and Kevin Holland. During his UFC career, Jack Della Maddalena had a staggering 63% stoppage rate which led to him receiving six fight of the night bonuses. His opponent is no less impressive.
Islam Makhachev

Similarly to JDM, Islam has had a shaky start to his career, but only in the UFC. After winning in his debut, he lost his second ever UFC bout. It was not something that put him away from the winning path as he returned with a 15 fight streak. The lightweight division was his for the taking and he took only all fighters of any significance and won against them all. During his MMA career in MMA, Makhachev has amassed 27 wins and only 1 defeat. Just like his opponent at the UFC 322, Islam has an amazing 69% finish rate. He is a submission master as he has 8 of those in the UFC, and 3 KO/TKO wins to boast. What’s even more impressive are his 5 title fights. Out of those five outings, only one has gone to decision, while the rest were all stoppages. With Islam it only gets better the more you talk about him, as his title winning bouts were all against UFC greats such as Charles Oliveira, Alexander Volkanovski, Dustin Poirier and Renato Moicano.
Valentina Shevchenko

The Bullet is one of the greatest female MMA fighters of all time if not the GOAT. A master of kickboxing and Muay Thai, Shevchenko has carved an amazing career for herself in the years past. During her MMA career she has 25 wins, 4 losses, and one draw. What’s most impressive about her wins is the fact that she successfully defended her title seven times. At one point she lost the belt to Alexa Grasso, but returned to the octagon, and after drawing Grasso once, won in their third bout and got her title back. In the meantime she defended it once more vs. Manon Fiorot. If you’re looking for the safest bet at Stake.com in the eve of UFC 322, look no further than picking Shevchenko to win against Weili Zhang.
Weili Zhang

We’re not looking to disrespect Zhang, but despite her impressive resume she is going against one of the best fighters to ever do it. Since moving to the UFC, it took Zhang four bouts to get her hands on the strawweight title. It happened against Jessica Andrade, and since then, Weili lost her title to Rose Namajunas, only to get it back in a bout against Carla Esparza. It’s been one year between her title loss and regaining it back, and then a few months more before he successfully defended it against Amanda Lemon, Xiaonan Yan and Tatiana Suarez. She’s been nothing but impressive, and with her MMA record of 26:3, and an UFC of 10:2, she is more than deserving to have a go against Shevchenko. The only downside to her attempt at the flyweight title might be that she’s moving up the division, where her 40% stoppage rate might not matter all that much. Yet, her 2 submissions and 2 KO/TKO wins are not to be neglected, but we’re sure Valentina Shevchenko has it in her mind too and is more than prepared.
Jack Della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev Picks & Predictions
It is never easy to predict the outcome of a main UFC event. On one side we have Jack Della Maddalena who had one of the best recent runs in the welterweight division. His finish rate is through the roof and no one has managed to defeat him in the UFC. What’s taken against him is the fact that so far in his career he has faced only one top 10 ranked fighter. Yet, when you look how he handled Belal Muhammad, it was obvious that he can take on the best out of the best. JDM knows how to prepare for every bout, and his game plan that worked against Bella revolved around neutralizing the wrestling abilities of his opponent. What both fans and pundits are wondering is whether he can do the same against one of the top wrestlers in the UFC?
Islam, who is deservedly seen as an unstoppable force, conquered the lightweight division despite the heavy competition. During his last nine fights he finished eight which is not an easy feat to do. The only doubt people are having regarding Islam’s ability to take on JDM is the fact that he is moving up a division, and that he will be now fighting after bulking. Yes, he was always massive by lightweight standards, but the question everyone is asking is whether he will have the same tank to take JDM to the last bell at this weight if he fails to finish the fight in the earlier rounds. While everyone believes Islam has what it takes to take JDM down and submit him, we believe that Della Maddalena can wrap up this fight earlier than Makhachev would like it. JDM via KO/TKO in the third round is our prediction.
Valentina Shevchenko vs. Weili Zhang
With one small pause, Valentine Shevchenko was at the top of the women’s flyweight division for 2018. Alexa Grasso was her only mistake, but a one she managed to make right. There were plenty of talented fighters in the division but as each of them came close to the top, The Bullet was there waiting to end their title dream. The Kyrgyzstani fighter will now fight a new type of contender. One that comes from a division below. As you could have guessed The Bullet is favoured to win this bout too, and to take another title defence home. Yes, Weili has top of the class grappling skill, but she will have to be at her utmost best to defeat Shevchenko.
As far as the Chinese fighter goes, she has been dominating the strawweight division in the last few years. Her only loss came in the hands of Rose Namajunas, after which she came back stronger, regained her title, and defended it a few more times. What she is trying to achieve is to become a two weight world champion. The MMA odds do not believe that she will be able to do it in a fight against Valentina Shevchenko, with her odds being set at 2.19, while those on The Bullet are set at 1.71. Our prediction is that Shevchenko is going to win this one via submission in one of the early rounds.
