UFC 192 co-main event welterweight Tyron Woodley will face Johny Hendricks on October 3, continuing his quest for a title shot in the hectic 170-pound division. ‘The Chosen One’ rides in to the bout with ex-champion ‘Bigg Rigg’ on two straight wins, his most recent being a close decision win over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 183.
Back in only his second UFC fight at UFC 167, Woodley took on Ultimate Fighter original Josh Koscheck in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kos fought pretty well early on, even catching T-Wood coming forward with a few dangerous shots. The end was inevitably in Woodley’s favor though, as he starched Koscheck with a flurry of vicious shots in the opening round.
It kick started the current 4-1 run in his last 5, and with a win over Hendricks at UFC 192, we may well have a clear title contender in the form of ‘The Chosen One’.
