Number three ranked UFC welterweight contender Tyron Woodley has a big fight lined up, but not quite the grand occasion he was hoping for. Having hovered around the top end of the 170-pound rankings since a late 2013 TKO (injury) win over Carlos Condit, ‘The Chosen One’ has taken just about every opportunity to call out for a title shot. A decision loss to Rory MacDonald at UFC 174 may have stymied his progression considerably, and even after another two straight wins, ‘The Natural Born Killer’ reported to be getting the nod ahead of Woodley in the race for a title shot.

The former Strikeforce welterweight title challenger took to Twitter in an attempt to call bullsh*t on the matchmaking decision for Robbie Lawler’s next title defense, and engaged in some conversation with yours truly on the subject too:

So obviously Woodley feels hard done by, but Johny Hendricks was also was in for a trilogy-maker with ‘Ruthless’, so perhaps he isn’t the only one with a right to be upset. With the two heavily rumoured to be facing off in December, it looks like there’ll at least be one guy getting some satisfaction at the end of the rainbow.
