Robbie Lawler Vs Matt Lindland Added To

MMAblast.com’s sources close to the action confirmed the bout between Robbie Lawler (19-6 MMA, 1-2 SF) and Matt Lindland (22-7 MMA, 1-1 SF) would be added to Strikeforce’s December 4th show, ‘Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu.’

The action will go down in the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, and the night’s main card airs on Showtime. Lawler vs. Lindland will be part of the televised main card.

Lindland was on track to face Luke Rockhold this weekend in San Jose, California, but Rockhold was forced to pull out of the bout after suffering an injury in training.

Lawler, a former UFC fighter and EliteXC champion, is just 1-2 since a seven-fight win streak from 2007-2008.

After suffering a submission loss to champ Jake Shields in his promo debut in June 2009, Lawler rebounded with a vicious first-round knockout of Melvin Manhoef in January.

But most recently, in the headliner of June’s “Strikeforce: Los Angeles” event, he lost a unanimous decision to Renato “Babalu” Sobral.
