UFC on FOX 2: Injury bug costs Paul Sass and Eddie Wineland their fights

During 2011, UFC matchmaker Joe Silva was a busy man. In addition to his duties of putting together the fights for every card, he had to deal with a huge number of injuries, which caused him to have to go back and fight replacement fighters for the bouts impacted by injury.
As of now, it looks like that trend is going to continue for Silva heading into 2012. UFC 142 was beset with several injuries and now the upcoming UFC on FOX card, booked for January 28 in Chicago has been hit with the injury bug.

Looking back at TUF 14, could Brandao and Dodson become champions in the UFC?

Nearly seven years ago, a tv show brought the sport of Mixed Martial Arts to the mainstream public. When The Ultimate Fighter season one debuted January 17 2005 it was a big gamble for ZUFFA at the time to venture into the unknown waters of reality television. That crapshoot paid off, gave birth to a legion of loyal fans, and created superstars and champions out of many who appeared on the show. After fourteen seasons, the show that saved the Ultimate Fighting Championship will now start a new chapter in

Anthony Johnson: It’s going to be fun fighting Vitor Belfort (Exclusive Interview)

If you’ve ever watched an Anthony Johnson fight, you have to tell yourself not to blink because you could miss out on a potentially epic knockout or TKO. Jonathan Chaimberg: Florian may be dropping weight classes but he’s actually getting stronger

Jonathan Chaimberg is considered one of the most respected strength and conditioning coaches in North America. He maybe young at the age of 32, but he has been training elite athletes and regular people for over ten years. The former Canadian national wrestler works very closely with Greg Jackson’s elite fighters, but most recently has been working very diligently with Kenny Florian making his Featherweight debut at UFC 131 in my hometown of Vancouver this Saturday.

Lyoto Machida is ready and willing to step in against Jon “Bones” Jones

Following this past Saturday’s UFC 130 in Las Vegas, Nevada, UFC President Dana White revealed during an interview with Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com that former division champ Lyoto Machida could be next in line to face Light Heavyweight Champion Jon “Bones” Jones should “Rampage” Jackson be unable to compete. Machida is fresh off an impressive second-round knockout victory over Randy Couture at last month’s UFC 129. Prior to the win, the Brazilian had lost two-straight, first against Mauricio Rua…

Which Rampage Jackson will show up at UFC 130?
