Kenny Florian: I will be moving and staying at Lightweight

On October 8, 2011Kenny Florian fought Jose Aldo for the UFC Featherweight title. The bout was Florian’s third shot at a UFC title belt and after 25 minutes it was his third loss in a UFC title fight.
It should be noted that when Florian broke into the UFC he fought in the 185 pound Middleweight division. Florian fought once at the 185 pound limit, losing to Diego Sanchez at the Ultimate Fighter Season One finale. In his next fight he dropped to Welterweight, winning two fights there before dropping

Kenny Florian’s nutrition consultant George Lockhart says "the weight cut wasn’t really drastic"

George Lockhart has served in the Marine Corps for over nine years and has fought professionally for ten. He specializes in designing performance diets and has worked with the likes of Jon Jones, Brian Stann, and many other Greg Jackson fighters.
For UFC 131, George played a big role in helping Kenny Florian reach his goal of 145lbs for his debut Featherweight bout with Diego Nunes. I had the chance to chat with the Marine and he schooled us in the art of weight cutting.

QuickQuote: Kenny Florian on Grey Maynard: "cocky, lives in non-realistic world"

UFC 118 will be the most important card to the LW divison in a very long time. But not only because of the fight between BJ Penn and Frankie Edgar. In my opinon the fight between Grey “The Bully” Maynard and Kenny “kenflo” is the co-main event of the evening. But with the fight card rapdily approaching fighters have entered “hype mode” and have been promoting their fights like crazy. Kenflo is no acception, he had the following to say on Maynard:

Jonathan Chaimberg: Florian may be dropping weight classes but he’s actually getting stronger

Jonathan Chaimberg is considered one of the most respected strength and conditioning coaches in North America. He maybe young at the age of 32, but he has been training elite athletes and regular people for over ten years. The former Canadian national wrestler works very closely with Greg Jackson’s elite fighters, but most recently has been working very diligently with Kenny Florian making his Featherweight debut at UFC 131 in my hometown of Vancouver this Saturday.
With 131 just around the corner, Jon
