MONTREAL – UFC 113’s co-main event between top welterweight contenders Paul Daley and Josh Koscheck will earn the winner a title shot with champion Georges St-Pierre. Georges St. Pierre is set to defend his Welterweight title on march 27, at UFC 111. In order to prepare for this fight, GSP asked the Strikeforce Light heavyweight champion, Gegard Mousasi, to help him train for the dangerous striker Dan Hardy. GSP had this to say about his experience training with Mousasi:
“He’s amazing, he’s a great fighter, he’s an even greater human being than a fighter,” said St-Pierre. “He’s a great guy. We plan to train together.”
While, Gegard Mousasi is set to face King Mo at
American Kickbox Academy team member, Jon Fitch, hold a record of 21-3-1 and is currently heading into UFC 111 with a three fight win streak as he rematches Thiago Alves who holds a record of 17-6 and is coming off a title fight loss to Georges St Pierre. Fitch believes if he beat Alves, he should get another shot at the UFC Welterweight title.
“If I could stop Thiago, most definitely. If I can finish Thiago in three rounds, there’s no way you can argue anyone else getting a title shot over me.” said
