Paddy Pimblett Stayed Inside when Conor McGregor Came To His House, According to Dan Hooker
Paddy Pimblett was said to have stayed indoors during an interaction where Conor McGregor reportedly came to confront ‘The Baddy’, per an account from Dan Hooker. This was expressed by Hooker during a pre-fight media day leading into his clash with Benoit Saint-Denis.
This lightweight bout with Hooker and BSD transpires at UFC 325: Volkanovski vs. Lopes 2 on January 31st. In video footage provided by Jai McAllister, with an excerpt posted to X account @RedCorner_MMA, Hooker said,
“Like this guy talks, talks, talks, talks then he gets called on his s**t and he just turns into [the] victim. He goes into victim mode, straight away. Is that common knowledge? That he talked s**t about Conor McGregor, then McGregor drove around to his house. He drove around to his house and he sat outside calling the bloke, and Paddy refused to come outside. That tells you all you need to know about a guy.”
Paddy Pimblett and Dan Hooker’s recent feuding
Paddy Pimblett and Dan Hooker have not been on good terms as of late with verbal volleys being exchanged by both in recent weeks. Pimblett had made some vulgar comments in the pursuit of trying to denigrate Hooker’s grappling skills, with the latter telling the former it will be on-site if the two ever see each other.
That being said, pursuing a Pimblett fight is not something Dan Hooker sees as being a fruitful endeavour, per his words on The Ariel Helwani Show, as Hooker stated [via Bloody Elbow],
“That’s the dumbest thing you can possibly do. He p—– me off, I p—– him off back. That’s always going to be there but that’s why I had to p— him off back so then I’m not just sitting around and I’m upset about it. He’s gonna take some time off, we’ll see how this fight plays out obviously. I’m not gonna go back and shoot myself in the foot because I’m mad.”
“There’s some big fights. There’s obviously the BMF [title fight] and brother, I guarantee you between me getting through this fight and getting my hand raised against BSD [Benoit Saint-Denis], there’s still no one between me and Arman [Tsarukyan] that wants to fight him except me. I feel bad, I like Arman now. He’s won me over as a fan.”
