Joanna Jedrzejczyk And Valerie Letourneau Exchange Heated Words On Media Call

UFC 1931

Joanna Jedrzejczyk (10-0) and Valerie Letourneau (8-3) went at it while on Thursday’s UFC 193 media call. Jedrzejczyk claimed that while Letourneau looked good in her last fight against Maryna Moroz, she is not good enough to beat her. Which of course Letourneau thought differently and let her know about it. This led to an exchange between the two fighters.

“You know, I honestly watched her last fight against Maryna Moroz, and she did very well. She almost knocked her out in the first round. I’m supposed to beat Valarie for what she did in Krakow. She just had a big mouth, but she wasn’t ready for a fight with me. I’m happy that I’m going to face Valarie. She’s the right person.”

Letourneau replied: “Maybe she’s going to have a bad surprise on Nov. 14. I feel like I improved from my fight with Jessica Rakoczy to Moroz, but I feel like I’ve improved 10 times more already from my fight with Moroz to now. I just can’t wait to put it all there and show what I’m capable of. I hope I’m able to put everything into action.”

Jedrzejczyk said: “Can I say something? I’m not Maryna Moroz and I’m not [Jessica] Rakoczy. I’m Joanna Champion.”

Letourneau added: “I know you’re a great fighter, Joanna. There’s no doubt about it.”

Jedrzejczyk concluded the conversation with the final remarks: “That’s good. Keep it in your mind.“

Letourneau holds a professional MMA record of 8-3 and is currently riding a four-fight winning streak.
