Zach Reese Taps Out Jackson McVey on Short Notice – UFC Vegas 111 Highlights
Zach Reese stepped in on short notice and secured an epic come-from-behind submission victory over Jackson McVey to kick off UFC Vegas 111 on Saturday.
McVey came out and immediately put pressure on Reese, pressing his back to the fence and lighting up his opponent with a series of vicious knees and brutal elbows. The blows eventually busted open Reese, but the Houston native got a bit of a reprieve halfway through the first round after absorbing an accidental low blow.
After two and a half minutes, the fight resumed with McVey picking up right where he left off. Reese secured a takedown late in the first, but couldn’t offer much in the way of offense before the horn.

Reese immediately came out looking to put McVey’s back on the mat once again in the second. He did exactly that, scoring a takedown with plenty of time on the clock.
98 seconds into the round, Reese cinched in a rear-naked choke as McVey attempted to scramble, forcing ‘The Moose’ to tap out.

Official Result: Zach Reese def. Jackson McVey via submission (rear-naked choke) at 1:38 of Round 2.
