Robelis Despaigne added another highlight-reel KO to his resume at MVP MMA 1: Rousey vs. Carano, scoring a sickening finish against former UFC heavyweight king Junior dos Santos.
Despaigne came out with his hands low, immediately attempting to bait dos Santos. ‘JDS’ obliged with a stinging low kick before changing levels and looking for an early takedown. Despaigne fended it off easily, but dos Santos came right back with another crushing leg kick that momentarily took the big man off his feet.
Undeterred, Despaigne continued to move forward and unleashed a violent three-punch combination that caught dos Santos clean and rendered him unconscious.
No follow-up strikes necessary.
