Deniz Ilbay Delivers Incredible Comeback to Defeat Adrian Hamerski – Oktagon 85 Highlights
Deniz Ilbay delivered one of the greatest comebacks of the year against Adrian Hamerski at Oktagon 85 on Saturday.
While the first round was defined by Hamerski’s violent onslaught of elbows, it was Ilbay’s heart that stole the second, swarming his opponent and unleashing a flurry against the fence that had the live crowd in Hamburg on their feet. As fatigue started to kick in for Ilbay, Hamerski attempted to win back the round with a flurry of his own, but Ilbay managed to stave off the attack with a well-timed takedown, taking us to the second round with the fight likely tied up.
Getting Hamerski to the man early in the third, Ilbay softened up his opponent with some hammer fists before locking in an arm triangle choke. Despite cinching it in tight, Hamerski reversed the position, getting on top and offering up some offense just before the final horn.
