Conor McGregor Teases Move To WWE

Conor McGregor teases a possible appearance inside of the squared circle under the WWE banner.

The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion was keeping a close eye on the main event of Sunday’s WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

Irish wrestler Becky Lynch beat WWE Raw women’s champion Ronda Rousey and SmackDown women’s champion Charlotte Flair in a Winner Take All Match in the headliner of the show.

McGregor was supporting Lynch, who has trained with McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh in the past while watching this contest. It was historic as WWE has never booked women in the main event. The former champion took to his official Twitter account where he teased a possible jump to WWE by writing the following:

“Congrats to Irelands Becky Lynch, the WWE’s first Champ Champ. Wow! What a match these ladies put on! Ronda Rousey is something special in that ring, as is Charlotte Flair of the Flair dynasty! Stephanie McMahon, you are right, I could not do what these athletes do. Or could I…”

Although he’s not seeing eye-to-eye with the UFC right now, the Las Vegas-based promotion would have to sign off on him wrestling. However, an appearance isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Most of his fans would most likely prefer to see him return to the Octagon.
