Conor McGregor Shares Prediction For UFC 330 Title Fight Between Islam Makhachev and Ian Machado Garry – “This Goes Late”
Conor McGregor has shared his prediction for the highly anticipated UFC 330 main event between Islam Makhachev and Ian Machado Garry.
Set to take place at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the card will feature Makhachev’s first welterweight title defense, with Garry, on the other hand, challenging for the UFC title for the first time in his career.
With only a couple of days left for the showdown, Conor McGregor weighed in on the fight in a recent Instagram post. Stating who he was rooting for and who would win, McGregor said:
Let’s go Garry…He has the tools, he’s been doing great work in SBG, he’s put in some solid rounds…He’s long, he’s definitely gonna stay safe. He’s definitely gonna be in there, all the way. Makhachev has pockets where there’s a lot of stalling, and he still has things to prove in that welterweight division. It’s a cracking contest, of course I’m going with Ian Garry.
He went on to add how Garry would get the job done against Makhachev:
Right high kick, across the crown of the head, and a victory for the Irish-Brazilian. Let’s go Ian, rooting for you bro….What round? Late round…This goes late, folks. Great fight, looking very much forward to it.

It is worth noting that Makhachev is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jack Della Maddalena back in November 2025, whereas the 28-year-old Garry beat Belal Muhammad last, in the same month (but a week later).
Conor McGregor Hypes Up Ian Machado Garry As He Reacts To Old Clip of the 28-year-old Winning CW Belt
Conor McGregor hyped up fellow Irishman Ian Machado Garry while reacting to a throwback clip of the 28-year-old winning the Cage Warriors belt.
The clip shows Garry breaking down in tears during a video call, following his win over Jack Grant at Cage Warriors 125, back in June 2021. Just four months later, Garry was in the UFC, making his debut against Jordan Williams.
Reacting to the video, McGregor wrote on X:
Come on Garry, f*ck them all! Do it for your little crew bro, and never forget what they said against! We got the skills 1000%!
