Cody Haddon Breaks Down Aoriqileng In Brutal One-Sided Stoppage At UFC Macau

Cody Haddon continued his rapid rise in the UFC bantamweight division on Saturday night.

On the preliminary card of UFC Macau at Galaxy Arena, the Australian prospect dominated hometown favorite Aoriqileng en route to a vicious second-round TKO victory.

Cody Haddon wasted little time imposing his game plan. After briefly exchanging on the feet, the 27-year-old closed the distance and brought the fight to the mat, immediately putting Aoriqileng on the defensive. He controlled much of the opening round with relentless grappling and mixing in damaging ground-and-pound.

Early in the second round, the Chinese fighter briefly threatened with a guillotine choke, though Haddon calmly worked his way free and returned to pressuring his opponent. Once he secured another clinch against the fence, the Australian began attacking the body with knees.

Those strikes ultimately proved decisive. A pair of crushing knees to the midsection folded Aoriqileng to the canvas, prompting Haddon to swarm with punches before the referee stepped in to wave off the contest.

The victory improves Cody Haddon’s UFC record to 2-0 following his decision win over Dan Argueta in October 2024. It also extends Dana White’s Contender Series standout’s overall winning streak to seven fights and moves his professional record to 9-1.
