BKB 57 Results: Terrill, Chalmers and Vargas Brothers Claim Stoppage Wins
Mick Terrill returned to London with a first-round TKO over Florian De La Motte in the BKB 57 main event, while brothers Fernando Vargas Jr. and Amado Vargas each earned stoppage wins on a finish-heavy card at indigo at The O2 on July 25. Amado Vargas’ first-round knockout of James Springer earned Performance of the Night.
BKB 57 London Results: Terrill TKO, Amado Vargas KO and Chalmers Win
Terrill needed 1:41 of the opening round to halt De La Motte in the heavyweight headliner. The British fighter pressed the action from the start and found the shots needed to force the TKO, putting his name back into the conversation near the top of BKB’s heavyweight field.
Afterward, Terrill called for a quick return, saying: “Get me back in there. Whoever it is – I’m ready.” The result gave the London crowd a short, decisive main event and capped a night built around early finishes.
Fernando Vargas Jr. stopped Gary Allen at 1:20 of round two in their super-welterweight bout. His brother Amado then made an immediate mark in his bare-knuckle debut, knocking out James Springer at 2:09 of the first round in a super-featherweight contest.
The Vargas brothers had been promoted as part of a co-main event doubleheader, and both delivered wins on the same London show. Fernando described the format as “a street fight in there” and praised BKB for giving younger fighters another platform, while Amado credited his training camp after collecting the event’s performance bonus.
Aaron Chalmers defeated Jack Fincham by doctor’s-stoppage TKO at 1:08 of the first round in their catchweight crossover bout. The contest paired two well-known British reality-TV figures, but the action did not reach the second round after Fincham could not continue.
The undercard followed the same theme. Matty Askin stopped Jay Kerr at 2:02 of round one, Martin Reffell knocked out Liam Howell in 47 seconds, and Lee Spencer finished Braide Lee Harkett in 25 seconds. Liam Turuel also recorded a 25-second knockout against Will Dermietzel.
