On top of being a 2x world champion at the weight, Winky was the first ever undisputed light middleweight champion. He beat some of the best fighters of his era, which included Felix Trinidad and defeating Shane Moseley twice.

After Wright’s career ended, he was deservingly inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2018.

The Magic Man’s biggest wins are of course winning two big fights against legend Roy Jones Jr in their trilogy.

One of the current best boxers from Florida is multi-time champion Keith “One Time” Thurman. The Florida native is one of the era’s best welterweights of the current era, who was a unified champion
