Andrei Arlovski Forces Doctor’s Stoppage TKO to Win Heavyweight Title – BKFC KnuckleMania 6 Highlights
Andrei Arlovski is a world champion once again following his dominant victory over Ben Rothwell at BKFC KnuckleMania 6.
Arlovski looked good from the get-go, catching Rothwell with a jab followed by an overhand right that sent the defending champ into the ropes.
Surrendering the opening round, Rothwell ramped up the aggression in the second and landed some solid shots, but the story of the stanza was once again Arlovski’s stinging jabs. Arlovski connected with a vicious right that busted Rothwell open, sending blood streaming down the champ’s face.
Rothwell barely made it out of the second after eating a brutal combination from Arlovski, but he wouldn’t be so lucky in the third.
74 seconds into the third, the referee paused the action to have Rothwell’s cut checked. After a few moments, the fight was officially called off, and a new BKFC heavyweight king was crowned.
