Set to face up-and-coming talent Travis Browne at UFC on Fox 4 on August 4th, veteran Heavyweight Ben Rothwell has made drastic changes to his training. The changes appeared to have helped him out, as he scored a brutal knockout of Brendan Schaub at UFC 145 last April. Today the UFC 148 media conference call took place and had some great quotes from the combatants involved, as well as some comments from Dana White. Of course the always entertaining Chael Sonnen was on hand to spread his word, and the UFC Middleweight challenger also spoke out against his longtime rival. Normally we do not see Anderson Silva become so animated about an opponent, it appears this fight has become personal for him. Silva had the following quotes about the blockbuster UFC 148 main

Fans anticipating the highly awaited rematch between UFC Heavyweight champion and Cain Velasquez will have to wait for the time being. Dana White announced last night on Fuel TV’s post-UFC 147 show that the event, originally scheduled for UFC 152 live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, will now be pushed back to a yet-to-be-determined date. When asked about the next Heavyweight title bout, White confirmed the change by stating:
“Yes, that fight will happen. I don’t know when and I don’t know where.

UFC 147 is in the books from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Rich Franklin versus Wanderlei Silva delivered a good bout, although it may not have been what the Brazilian fans were rooting for.
The first round began with Wanderlei Silva landing a hard right followed by an exchange. Franklin grabbed a kick, then controlled the action against the cage by landing shots. In the second round Franklin continued to stalk his opponent. Wanderlei reversed the action and dropped Franklin, landing some ground-and-pound.

UFC on FX is over from Atlantic City, New Jersey and the main event found Gray Maynard delivering an important win at Lightweight. The fights featured a lot of technical fighting, with decisions comprising 3 out of 4 main card bouts.
Lightweight contenders Clay Guida and Gray Maynard stayed on the feet for the first round, with Guida using his trademark movement to bloody Maynard’s nose. The Carpenter appeared to be just out of range of all Maynard’s strikes in the opening stanza. The second round started

Gray Maynard will return to the Octagon against Clay Guida this weekend, ending a layoff that stretched back to UFC 136 last October. UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta announced today that Alistair Overeem will not be scheduled to fight for the UFC until reinstated by the NSAC.  Currently suspended for nine months with elevated Testosterone levels,  Overeem could possibly be eligible to fight in late December. When asked about a possible year-end fight for Overeem, Fertitta quoted the following on the subject:
“That’s speculation. It’s in the NSAC’s hands.  The UFC can’t be presumptuous.” – via ESPN.com

News just arose that the UFC’s first foray into Nottingham, England, will feature a shootout between two of the promotion’s best rising Heavyweights. Stipe Miocic and Stefan Struve are set to battle it out in the main event of UFC on Fuel TV 5 the September 29th card. Stefan Struve revealed news today via Twitter.com:
