Former UFC light heavyweight Anthony Johnson receives a restraining order after some accusations were tossed his way.

The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight title contender is back in the headlines and for all the wrong reasons. This news isn’t about his desire to fight Jon Jones in a heavyweight showdown, which he has hinted at.

No, he has been given a restraining order for “an immediate present danger of dating violence,” according to MMA Junkie. This comes after accusations of online stalking, making threats, and posting intimate images of a woman he “dated briefly.”

By looking at his history, he does have a past when it comes to this kind of dealings and making headlines.

Back in 2009, the retired MMA star received three years probation and underwent domestic violence counseling after pleading no contest for a misdemeanor arrest. Moving along to 2015, a second incident happened involving yoga mats.

Just last month it was revealed that Johnson had signed with Bare Knuckle FC. According to his manager Ali Abdelaziz, Johnson isn’t fighting for them. It’s an ambassador type of role. He’s technically still under contract with the UFC.
