Alistair Overeem breaks silence, says he is clean

UFC Heavyweight Alistair Overem has finally broken his silence concerning his failed pre-UFC 146 drug test and subsequent suspension by the NSAC. Speaking to Fuel TV‘s UFC Tonight, he states that he was not entirely sure of all the details surrounding the situation, so he waited until he was to come out with a statement. Overeem has not talked to Dana White as of yet, but he still has his eyes set on the title. The famed kickboxer addresses his recent plan to submit voluntary drug tests, and states that he will do so every 3-4 weeks to prove to the world that he is a clean fighter. He adds that he does not pay attention to the media for the most part, instead focusing on his intense training. Confident that he will be able to return in late December, Overeem hopes to step right into a Heavyweight title shot when cleared by the NSAC.
