Sage Northcutt Continues Hot Streak With Slick Sub Of Cody Pfister

Rising lightweight star Sage Northcutt sought to continue his momentum against Cody Pfister on the main card of tonight’s (Thurs., December 10, 2015) UFC Fight Night Night 80 from The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

‘Super Sage” was throwing wild strikes at the start of the bout, but Pfister got a grinding takedown to land in top position, throwing light ground strikes. Pfister landed some decent elbows and controlled top position with strikes until a surprising standup.

Northcutt got a takedown of his own on the restart, giving Pfister some of his own medicine with elbows. Northcutt locked on an arm triangle choke, but Pfister got out. Nothcutt finished the round landing some hard shots on a downed Pfister.

The second round began with Northcutt getting another takedown to go for a choke, but Pfister tried to reverse. “”Super Sage” responded with a tight guillotine choke that earned the tap from Pfister.
