Cub Swanson Talks Dennis Siver, Calls Out Ricardo Lamas

Cub Swanson has been on a very impressive streak since joining the UFC, he is now on a five fight win streak with four of those wins coming by T/KO. He made a statement against Dennis Siver, who is a very game opponent, scoring a nasty knockout in the third round.

My only criticism of the fight was the ridiculously late stoppage by referee Herb Dean. Siver was out at least six punches before the fight was finished, this is a trend in MMA that I would like to see stopped. Swanson is now being looked at as a serious contender, and would like to face Ricardo Lamas next.

There is also his nasty knockout loss to Jose Aldo in the WEC, a knockout that I’m sure Swanson would like the opportunity to avenge. Check out Cub’s post fight interview courtesy of MMAFighting and stay tuned to Lowkick!

  • Man, this dude is a warrior , he puts such a good shows! Really great fun to watch him perform! Thanks a lot!

  • Cub is one of my favorite fighters in the UFC right now… he's just on FIRE!

    • People bash Greg Jackson, but results are always there for the guy, so as others said, it's dangerous because he's working with Bellator, Greg isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

      • The thing with Greg is people blame him for making fighters boring but that's not what he does. Greg makes his fighters technical and he gives them the perfect game plan to win a fight. However he can't fight the fighters fight. Ultimately they have to do it themselves. The most successful fighters from Jackson's camp are the ones that know how to implement everything they get from Greg & Mike to their own skill set. Those are the ones that shine.Cub turned into a very intelligent super technical fighter but still has that fury and dynamic killer instinct. He's the same fighter just with a lot of extra tools! That is something that should be appreciated…

  • Cerrone made Siver look like a noob, that would be a good fight.

    • Too bad Cerrone is LW cause that would most def. be entertaining. I'd put my money on Cub though for the simple fact he's, faster, more diverse and more dynamic. Same which cause Cerrone all kinds of problems with Pettis….

      • daamn, I wasnt paying attention, what class were they fighting in? WW?

  • Cub put in work!! I loved it

  • Cub is one of the best examples in MMA of how confidence is so important to a fighter. After the Aldo loss he was just lost and struggled to put together a solid performance but since getting his first TKO in years against Roop and regaining confidence, he can't stop knocking out beasts!

Cub vs. Lamas is interestign as a rematch but I'd like to see them take separate paths to the belt… honestly I think Lamas deserves the next shot and Cub vs. Frankie for the following one
