Josh Thomson Eying Donald Cerrone Next

This weekend Karyn Bryant and MMA H.E.A.T. caught up with UFC lightweight contender Josh Thomson. Thomson was on hand to discuss his epic headkick knockout of Nate Diaz this April. He also noted that there’s only one fight he truly wants, and that’s Benson Henderson.

Thomson noted that the fighters from his AKA gym had great camps. Cain Velasquez and Khabib Nurmagomedov won, while Gray Maynard was knocked out by TJ Grant. Thomson looked forward to the future, adamant that he would not fight Maynard.

Thomson sees Donald Cerrone as a fight that makes sense for him next, as there are no other top ten fighters that he could foresee fighting.

He closed out by saying that he doesn’t care about TRT, but doesn’t use it. It doesn’t make you a better fighter in his eyes. Thomson thinks it is more about learning how to harness your abilities best.
