The undisputed boss of the female bantamweights, Ronda Rousey is once again in training for her next competitor, Holly Holm. The two will headline the historic UFC 193 event in Melbourne, Australia, with hopes of smashing the records for attendance at the Etihad Stadium. Currently in week three of her latest camp in Glendale, Arizona, the bantamweight queen is stepping it up a notch.
Wielding a black eye from some rough sparring, ‘Rowdy’ works the pads and also some grappling partners while preparing for her November 15 date with Holm. The video was uploaded to Youtube by J. Flo Video Productions, and shows some intimate moments with her coach Edmond Tarverdyan.
The whole sports world is keen to see if ‘Rowdy’ can extend her fantastic streak in her next showing, and it looks like she’s working very hard to achieve that target. A win would cement her legacy just a little more, but would also give more weight to the argument that she needs to fight her rival and current Invicta champ Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino.
With the contenders wearing thin in the near-cleared out women’s bantamweight category, how long is it until Rousey calls it quits? She’s spoke many times about pursuing careers in the movies and elsewhere, perhaps only a loss will result in the Judo Olympian hanging up the gloves in the near future. We’ll see.
