UFC on Fuel TV 10 Prelims Recap
Brazil has once again played host to an awesome night of UFC fights. So far we have seen some great submissions, back and forth action and a nasty TKO. With the main card yet to come, UFC on Fuel TV 10 is shaping up to be a pretty awesome card!
Heres the recap of the Facebook prelim fights:
Antonio Braga Neto took on Anthony Smith to kick off the nights action. Neto showed some very slick ground game, getting the better of Smith early on and sinking in a nasty kneebar. Neto def. Smith by submission (kneebar) RD 1.
Caio Maghales took on Karlos Vemola next. Maghalaes just proved too much for Vemola in all aspects. Maghalaes controlled Vermola, scoring multiple takedowns and slams en route to a 2nd round submission win via RNC.
Rodrigo Damm took on Mizuto Hirota at Featherweight and they put on a great striking clinic. A back and forth match throughout, a real battle of attrition. Rodrigo Damm emerged as a winner Via split decision, in a match that truly could have gone either way (given the modern style of MMA judging….)
Ildemar Alcantara went to war with Leandro Silva at Welterweight, in a match that had the crowd getting a bit restless. The first two rounds were a little less entertaining than the third, and Alcantara walked away with a UD victory.
Felipe Arantes took on Godofredo Pepey in a really exciting Featherweight tilt. After an early scramble and some great grappling reversals, Arantes lands on top and unloads with savage punches and elbows from the top to put Pepey away early. Arantes def. Pepey via TKO (elbows and punches) RD 1.
Raphael Assuncao took on Vaughan Lee at Bantamweight in a very one sided affair. Assuncao was just all over Vaughn from the jump, dominating him in all areas of the fight. Assuncao moves to 4-0 at BW with a super slick armbar in round two!
