Luke Rockhold made an extremely strong case for a middleweight title shot by submitting former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida in the main event of tonight’s (Sat., April 18, 2015) UFC on FOX 15 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

He predicted a finish of “The Dragon” in the potential title eliminator, and he got in far more dominant fashion than most had predicted. Dana White declined to make any matches at tonight’s post-fight presser, but it’s safe to say Rockhold will most likely battle the winner of UFC 187’s long-delayed title fight between Chris Weidman and Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort.
