UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Yan betting preview

UFC

At UFC Fight Night: Dern vs. Yan, two elite strawweight contenders clash on top of another potential Apex Arena sleeper barn burner card.

Join us at LowKickMMA as we break down our top 3 bets from this intriguing event.

Raoni Barcelos ML & Randy Brown ML

Our bet will be a parlay between two main card fights. First is Randy Brown, who takes on Francisco Trinaldo in the co-main event. Brown has all the cards in his favor for this fight. A significant height and reach advantage will allow him to utilize his range boxing game to lethal effect. It is also worth noting that Trinaldo is now 42 years old, whilst Brown is still in his 20s. Look for Brown to piece up his veteran opponent and claim a unanimous decision victory.

Raoni Barcelos is our second leg of this two-fight parlay. He takes on Trevin Jones in a bantamweight matchup. Barcelos should have a definite edge in this one. He is the more well-rounded fighter, with Jones’ ground game leaving much to be desired. Barcelos will likely pick up a late stoppage or a dominant decision win.

Brown and Barcelos parlayed together come in at even money on Betway.

Mike Davis ML

Our second bet will be to take Mike Davis’ ML. Davis is a decent favorite in this fight and with good reason. He takes on notorious striker ‘Slava Claus,’ who is vicious on the feet, but entirely vulnerable when the fight hits the mat. Mike Davis is a solid striker himself, but he should have an easy route to victory in this, as long as he utilizes a takedown-heavy game plan.

Betway have Mike Davis priced at -175. Whilst not the most lucrative line, Davis should be a lock in this fight.

Brendan Allen ML

Our only underdog pick for this week is Brendan Allen. ‘All-in’ takes on UFC middleweight veteran Krzysztof Jotko on the preliminary card of this event. Allen is only a slight underdog, but this is a line that should be flipped. Allen simply has more ways to win. He is the superior grappler, with a number of slick submissions in his arsenal should the fight hit the floor. On the feet, Allen has been constantly improving and should be able to take the fight to Jotko over 3 rounds.

Betway have Allen priced at +100.
