UFC 331 main event features a BMF title bout, As Per Sources
As per Russian MMA outlet RedFuryMMA, BMF titleholder Charles Oliveira will run it back with No. 2 UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 331.
Check out the report below:
Their first meeting took place in 2024, where Tsarukyan secured a split decision victory after surviving multiple submission attempts from “Do Bronxs.”
The Armenian fighter has recently revealed that he expects 2 title fights this year and is ready to capture the BMF belt and the undisputed UFC lightweight championship.
Check out Arman Tsarukyan’s comments below:
Tsarukyan’s last UFC fight was in 2025 against Dan Hooker, where the former secured a Round 2 submission. After that, he had called out then-lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, who had no intention of defending his strap against the Armenian.
However, there is good news now. Newly minted 155-pound champion Justin Gaethje is open to locking horns with the 29-year-old.
Charles Oliveira, on the other hand, is riding a two-fight winning streak after bouncing back from his brutal knockout loss to Ilia Topuria at UFC 317. Earlier this year, the Brazilian dethroned Max Holloway to capture the BMF title in a not-so-BMF manner, due to which he received a ton of criticism.
However, this time against “Akhalkalakets,” Oliveira will not only have a chance to avenge his previous loss but also prove to the world that he is the true BMF.
Whoever emerges victorious in a potential Tsarukyan vs. Oliveira rematch would likely earn the next shot at the UFC lightweight title.
