UFC 196 Adds Johny Hendricks vs. Stephen Thompson And Several Other Bouts

The UFC announced several new bouts for the upcoming UFC 196 event during the UFC 194 broadcast on Saturday night.

Johny Hendricks (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) will fight Stephen Thompson (11-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in a welterweight bout, which will most likely be the co-main event.

The other fights announced for the card include a heavyweight bout between Roy Nelson (20-12 MMA, 7-8 UFC) and Jared Rosholt (14-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) for the main card; a lightweight bout for the prelims between Josh Burkman (27-12 MMA, 5-7 UFC) and K.J. Noons (13-8 MMA, 2-2 UFC); and a welterweight bout for the prelims between Mike Pyle (26-11-1 MMA, 9-6 UFC) and Sean Spencer (12-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC).

UFC 196 takes place on Saturday, February 6th, 2016 from Las Vegas, Nevada with the main card airing on pay-per-view and the prelims airing on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. A venue for the event has not been announced.
