UFC 116 Steroid Tests

The Nevada state athletic commission has released a report that the fighters that took part at UFC 116 which took place on July 3rd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, have all tested negative for steroids. 

This is good news for fight fans as some of the fighters have a steroid history, Chris Leben tested positive when he fought Michael Bisping and was given a six month suspension.  This was Leben second time fighting in about 2 weeks where he scored an upset third round submission of Akiyama.

Also another man with a steroid history Brock Lesnar tested clean and is good news for mma fans.

Lesnar defended his heavyweight title, and scored a 2nd round submission over number one contender Shane Carwin, after Shane went for broke in the first round, and punching himself out.  This was Lesnar’s  5th win in his 6 professional fights.

A complete list of fighters tested were Brock Lensar, Shane Carwin, Chris Leben, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Chris Lytle, Matt Brown, Kyzystof Soszynski, Stephan Bonnar, Brendan Schaub, Kendall Grove, Gerald Harris, Ricardo Romero, Jon Madsen, George Sotiropoulos, Daniel Roberts.  All of with tested clean.
