A welterweight contest got the main card of UFC 202 started. The battle featured Tim Means (26-7-1), who served his suspension from USADA facing Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) newcomer Sabah Homasi (11-6).

“The Dirty Bird” returned in style.

Homasi landed a kick to the body, but a counter right hand from Means found the mark. “The Dirty Bird” looked to stalk “The Punisher.” Means landed a combination that ended with a knee to the body. Homasi brought his opponent to the ground. “The Punisher” kept swinging, but looked to be fading already. Homasi landed a double leg takedown. The round ended shortly after.

Replays showed an elbow from Means in the first round that cut Homasi. Early in the second stanza, Means had his high kick blocked. Blood continued to trickle down Homasi’s face. Means landed a stiff jab. Hard knees connected for Means and he landed a right hand on the clinch break. “The Dirty Bird” kept teeing off on Homasi and Herb Dean had seen enough.
