UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw silenced any doubt about his epic UFC 173 win over former champion Renan Barao tonight (Sat., July 25, 2015) by battering ‘The Baron’ on the way to an absolutely dominant fourth round TKO stoppage in the main event of UFC on FOX 16 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

It was a one-sided affair where the champion came out cocky and confident with his movement level high, dancing around with excellent footwork and even fighting with his hands down at several junctures. Dillashaw ate some big shots from the former champ, but in the end he opened him up with his southpaw stance, mixing it up with varied combos, jabs, low kicks, and a pinpoint finishing flurry on an exhausted Barao that left referee Herb Dean no option but to stop the bout.

‘The Viper’ also nearly finished off ‘The Baron’ at the conclusion of the third round, hitting with another varied combo that required the once-touted pound-for-pound great to be saved by the bell.
