VIDEO: Sergei Pavlovich Folds Tallison Teixeira With Devastating 39-Seconds At UFC Macau
Sergei Pavlovich returned to his destructive best on Saturday night.
The Russian knockout artist made quick work of rising contender Tallison Teixeira on the UFC Macau main card, scoring a devastating first-round finish in just 39 seconds at Galaxy Arena.
Pavlovich wasted no time asserting his advantage. As soon as the fight began, he marched forward and uncorked a thunderous right hand that immediately put Teixeira on shaky legs.
The Brazilian remained upright, but the damage was already done.
Sensing his opponent was hurt, Pavlovich stayed on the attack and continued firing heavy punches. Another right hand further compromised Teixeira before a follow-up barrage sent the towering heavyweight crashing to the canvas.
Pavlovich showed no hesitation in pursuing the finish. A series of crushing left hands followed on the ground, forcing the referee to intervene and wave off the contest before the one-minute mark.
The win extends Sergei Pavlovich’s current winning streak to three fights following back-to-back defeats against Aspinall and Alexander Volkov. He now improves to 9-3 inside the UFC and 21-3 overall, adding another highlight-reel knockout to a resume that already includes stoppage victories over Curtis Blaydes, Tai Tuivasa, and Derrick Lewis.
