UFC 153 came at us live from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and delivered some great fights and finishes for the fans. Longtime reigning champion Anderson Silva did not fail to deliver as he finished Stephan Bonnar via TKO towards the end of the first round. UFC on FX 4 took place at Revel Atlantic City, New Jersey. UFC reports a sell-out crowd with 4,652 spectators. No totals for gate receipts have been reported as of this writing. The Main Event turned out to be a disappointment for most fans, including UFC President Dana White who tweeted a string of complaints about the fight as it was unfolding:

During 2011, UFC matchmaker Joe Silva was a busy man. In addition to his duties of putting together the fights for every card, he had to deal with a huge number of injuries, which caused him to have to go back and fight replacement fighters for the bouts impacted by injury.
As of now, it looks like that trend is going to continue for Silva heading into 2012. UFC 142 was beset with several injuries and now the upcoming UFC on FOX card, booked for January 28 in Chicago has been hit with the injury bug.
