Former dominant UFC women’s bantamweight champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey had a rough night last night (November 14, 2015) to say the least, as her reign came crashing down on top of her.

Rousey put her title on the line against 19-time boxing champion Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm in front of nearly more than 56,000 fans at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

In one of the most shocking and historic upsets in sport history, Holm picked Rousey apart throughout the first round before flooring the “Rowdy” one with a vicious head kick early on in the second.

The global superstar in Rousey was out cold on the canvas, and Holm was named the new 135-pound champion.

In the aftermath of the night’s event, “The Preacher’s Daughter” was extremely emotional as expected, but Rousey was nowhere to be found.

The former champion was taken to the hospital immediately, and did not do any post-fight interviews, nor did she appear at the post fight press-conference.

However, she took to her official Instagram account this evening (November 15, 2015) to thank her fans for worrying about her health.

Prior to this bout, Rousey admitted that she was looking to take some time off after the fight. Obviously she anticipated it to be under different circumstances, but she remains set on taking some time away, while making it clear that we haven’t seen the end of her just yet:
