Rob Font Head Kicks Thomas Almeida Into Orbit
The main card opener of UFC 220 did not disappoint.
Bantamweights Rob Font and Thomas Almeida did battle inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Font had the hometown advantage. When the lights shining brighter than ever before, Font delivered.
Font wasted little time typing up Almeida against the fence. He threw an elbow on the break. Almeida went high with a kick that was blocked.
A high kick landed for Font. He later connected with a hook. Font went for a leg kick and was pelted by a left hook. The two scrambled near the end of the round.
Font rocked Almedia with a shot. Almeida went down. Font went for some ground-and-pound. Almedia got back to his feet, but ate some uppercuts. A clean head kick landed for Font and he finished off his opponent on the ground.
