UFC Fight Night 23 Fight for the Troops 2 will take place this Saturday January 22nd at Fort Hood, Texas. It will be the third UFC event to take place at a military post. Although UFC Fight Nights are considered minor events, the occasions held in aid of the US army tend to be adrenaline fuelled and action packed with the cards stacked with predominantly American fighters eager to put on a show for their military, many of whom risk their lives in combat for their country on a daily basis.

Kenny Florian pulls out of Fight for the Troops 2; Melvin Guillard steps in as a replacement

Heavy.com reports that the two-time UFC Lightweight Title challenger Kenny “Kenflo” Florian had to pull out of his Fight for the Troops 2 Main Event bout against Evan Dunham, due to an injury. Lesnar vs Velasquez possible for UFC 119

Coming off of his shocking submission win over Shane Carwin this Saturday Brock Lesnar is ready to get back into the Ocatagon ASAP. At the UFC 116 press conference Lesnar stated that he was not seriously hurt in his fight and would like to face Cain Valesquez soon. Valasquez is currently on an impressive 8 fight win streak with all but one ending in TKO or KO. Cain earned the Number One Contender spot after he KO’d Antonio Nogueira back at UFC 110 but with Lesnar still sick it was not clear when or who he
