Lesnar vs Velasquez possible for UFC 119

Coming off his impressive submission victory over Shane Carwin this Saturday, Brock Lesnar is ready to get back into the Octagon as soon as possible.

MMAJunkie reports that the UFC officials told both Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin the winner of their fight will square off against Cain Velasquez at UFC 119 on September 25th, if cleared by the medical commission. And in light of Brock Lesnar’s UFC 116 post-fight press conference comments that he did not receive any serious injuries, the bout against Cain Velasquez in late September is more than possible.

Valasquez is currently 8-0 in his MMA campaign, with all but one ending in TKO or KO. Velasquez earned the #1 Contender spot after an impressive knockout victory against Minotauro Nogueira back at UFC 110 in Australia. The fight against Cain Velasquez could be the second consecutive time when Lesnar meets an undefeated challenger, but this time it will be a much different specimen in Cain Velasquez.
