Perhaps proving that weight cutting in MMA is beginning to compromise fighters’ health, UFC featherweight Nik Lentz has reportedly had his bout with newcomer Levan Makashvilli at tomorrow night’s (Sat., February 14, 2015) UFC Fight Night 60 from the 1ST Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado cancelled due to flu-like symptoms.

Doctors rendered Lentz unable to compete according to MMA Junkie, marking the second time in only six months that “The Carny” has had a fight cancelled on weigh-in day after Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira withdrew from their scheduled UFC Fight Night 50 bout with a similar ailment last September.

It’s been a torturous string of events for Lentz, who was supposed to fight Thiago Tavares at UFC Fight Night 60 before he withdrew with an injury.
