Next Irish Superstar Keith Keogh Shines At Cage Warriors 200
Keith Keogh wanted to continue his seismic rise in the Cage Warriors featherweight division against Gabriel Ramos.
In the first minute of the round Keogh got a grip of his opponent but Ramos did well threatening submissions to keep the fight standing. The fight had a rapid pace with the Irishman chasing down the Brazilian in a dangerous manner. In a brilliant first round both mens elite striking and grappling level was shown in a very even affair for the first 5 minutes.
Round 2 kept the same pace as both men threw aggressively with an array of both kicks and punches. The volume from both men was astounding but neither man could get off an effective combination and there were many singular shots. A low blow from Keogh momentarily stopped the action. As the round went on it was Ramos seemingly beginning to wilt under the constant pressure of Keith Keogh, the body work had been excellent so far. A poor takedown attempt from the Brazilian spurred on the Irish crowd in the final moments of the second round.
Keogh beckoned Ramos to his feet before the start of round 3 as he started super aggressively. The arena could sense a finish for their fighter and roared him forward. Every shot from Keogh seemed to take the roof off the RDS Arena in this final round. After a persistent pressure Ramos eventually crumbled and Keogh secured a well earned victory.
Keith Keogh gets the TKO at 2:16 of Round 3.
