Mason Jones Leaves Axel Sola a Bloody Mess in Epic Comeback – UFC London Highlights
Mason Jones extended his win streak to seven with an incredible come-from-behind victory over Axel Sola at UFC London on Saturday.
Sola appeared to have things well in hand after catching Jones with a spinning elbow in the first. But Jones was far from done, surviving the ensuing onslaught and catching his opponent with a knee up the middle that busted open Sola just below his right eye.
Jones continued to put on a furious pace in the second, further bloodying Sola and tiring out the Frenchman. That proved to pay dividends in the third as Jones immediately landed a head kick that had Sola reeling. From that point, Sola was in survival mode as Jones continued to piece him up from one end of the Octagon to the other.
With Sola just trying to make it to the horn, he huddled up against the fence as Jones delivered a slew of knees up the middle.
Though it wasn’t enough to get the stoppage, Jones fought his way back from a sketchy first round to secure both a victory and a star-making performance
