King Mo: I’ll Never Be UFC Fighter, I Don’t’ Fit Their Mold

Bellator King Mo1

Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (19-4, 1 NC) has fought in several different MMA promotions over his career that include Strikeforce and now Bellator MMA. However, he’s never fought in the largest MMA promotion the world that is the UFC.

Lawal, who is an outspoken fighter that can back up all of the trash talk that he dishes out, explained during an appearance on Submission Radio that he will never fight in the UFC because he doesn’t fit the mold that the UFC has. Lawal feels that the UFC can do their way of business, and he will do his. Bottom line.

“Dawg, listen. I’m not a UFC fighter. I never will be. I don’t fit the mold. You know, I’m too much end work for them. You know what I’m saying? Straight up, I can’t play the game. Like, they do their thing, I do my thing. People there, they do great. I’m happy for them. They’re getting paid. I just can’t, it’s not me.

According to Lawal, he doesn’t’ feel comfortable in the environment that UFC has. Instead, he is more comfortable fighting in organizations like Strikeforce (which is no longer in business) and in Bellator MMA.

“I don’t feel comfortable. Even when I go to a fight, because of my people I’m there, I don’t feel comfortable in that environment. I don’t know what it is. I feel more at home with like, the Strikeforce and the Bellator feel, and even in Japan. It’s just different with the UFC.”
