Khamzat Chimaev Tells Sean Strickland: “Don’t Cry Like A Girl Next Time”

Khamzat Chimaev, Sean Strickland

Khamzat Chimaev was not happy with Sean Strickland’s latest X post targeting Chimaev, and now the Chechen-born Emirati has asked Strickland to stop whining.

Earlier today, “Tarzan” via X informed fans that his shoulder is “getting solid.” However, Strickland does not want to rush his return and defend his middleweight strap. He has said he will need “a little longer” for complete recovery. In the same post, he also targeted “Borz” with a message:

“Y’all keep asking me when I’m gonna fight again. Shoulder is getting solid, need a little longer. As to who Im fighting.. Chimaev keeps running his f**king mouth. Want me to teach you how to cut weight so you can stop b**ching for a second, L?”

Chimaev was dethroned by Strickland earlier this year at UFC 328 by split decision. After the title loss, many of Chimaev’s teammates stated that his brutal weight cut contributed to his defeat, as come fight night, he felt off and was unable to dominate the way he normally does.

Strickland’s comments are a dig at Chimaev’s team’s explanation that his brutal weight cut perhaps contributed to his title loss and cost him his undefeated record.

Khamzat Chimaev goes nuclear on Sean Strickland

Responding to Sean Strickland’s remark, Khamzat Chimaev quipped on X with a warning directed at the American UFC champion:

“This coward started talking again, when you see me again, ask for forgiveness, you’re good at that, the most important thing is don’t cry like a girl next time.”

When a fan asked “Borz” why he wrapped the belt around Strickland’s waist after UFC 328, Chimaev fired another dig:

“This girl cried too much; I felt sorry for her. I gave it away like a guy lets his girlfriend do his laundry.”

Chimaev wants an immediate title rematch at any cost, and Strickland’s latest X post suggests that he is game to give “Borz” what he wants. However, Dana White has recently said that the matchmakers have not yet decided what’s next for the current and two-time UFC middleweight champion.
