Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Darrell Horcher Full Fight Video Highlights
After being out of action just a few days short of two years due to a string of unfortunate knee injuries, top lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov was itching to get back into the Octagon at last night’s (Sat., April 16, 2016) UFC on FOX 19 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
His original opponent, streaking Tony Ferguson, was forced off the card due to having blood in his lungs, so “The Eagle” took on (very) late replacement Darrell Horcher at a catchweight of 160 pounds.
As expected, the heavy favorite Nurmagomedov used his vaunted world-class wrestling skills to throw Horcher to the mat after a few decent moments from the debutee early, raining down a relentless assault of ground and pound to earn the stoppage victory in the second round.
It was a triumphant return for the dominant but oft-injured Nurmagomedov, and now his real battle to win the UFC lightweight championship will begin.
