Junior Dos Santos calls out title contender Francis Ngannou for his next fight under the UFC banner. This comes after the latest win in a three-fight streak for the former UFC heavyweight champion.

JDS picked up a second-round TKO over Derrick Lewis in the headliner of UFC on ESPN + 4 last night (Sat., March 9, 2019) from Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. Before this fight, the former UFC heavyweight champion scored a second-round TKO win over Tai Tuivasa in the UFC Adelaide headliner. This fight went down in December.

After the win, he laid out the challenge to Ngannou as he thinks that fight makes sense and gets him one step closer to a title shot.

“I think that would be great,” Dos Santos said on the UFC on ESPN+ 4 post-fight show (H/T to MMAJunkie). “It should’ve happened in the past, but because of something weird it didn’t happen. Maybe now it can happen.”

“Right now I need a break,” Dos Santos said. “I need to stay active that’s the most important thing right now. Before my career comes my family. My daughter is born in May. I need to get ready to receive her. … I’ll fight again maybe at the end of August.”
