Josh Koschek wants Diaz, MacDonald, Maia, Ellenberger or a move to 185 when he returns in 2013

Josh Koschek hasn’t fought since back in May when he lost a split decision to Johny Hendricks. Although he was hoping to get back in the cage one more time before the end of the year, an injury sidelined him for a showdown with Jake Ellenberger at UFC 151 and it looks like he’ll be on the shelf until next year.

“Doesn’t look like the UFC has a fight for me until 2013. So I’ll just train and get better,” Koscheck said via Twitter.

Despite having to sit on the bench as the year closes with several cards, Koschek is already calling out names for fights he would like to have once he makes his return to the Octagon

“I’d like to fight Nick Diaz, Demian Maia, Jake Ellenberger, Rory MacDonald, any of those will do it,” Kos continued. As we’ve come to know, Koscheck will take on anybody the UFC puts in front of him. He certainly doesn’t discriminate. But you have to believe that he wants to work his way back into the top of the division. The former #1 welterweight contender is a company man that will even bump up a weight class if the UFC needed him to.

“They know I’ll fight anyone. I even said I’d fight at 185 if needed.”

It’ll be interesting to see who the UFC puts him up against next.
