Holly Holm Gets Contract Extension For Ronda Rousey KO

Holly Holm

When you beat the UFC’s biggest star for a title, you get rewarded.

That’s exactly what happened to UFC women’s bantamweight champ Holly Holm as she revealed in a recent interview with ESPN that she met with UFC officials (most likely UFC President Dana White and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta) recently to agree on a new contract extension.

Holm did admit that she has a multiyear contract extension and that she is very happy with the extension which means she probably got a really good payday. Terms of the “multiyear contract extension,” including the number of fights and pay, were not disclosed. UFC officials haven’t made a formal announcement.

“We have officially signed a multiyear extension with the UFC,” Fresquez told ESPN.com. “That’s all I can verify right now. We’ve signed an extension, and we’re very happy with the extension.”

Holm is coming off a win over Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in which she dominated Rousey then knocked her out in devastating fashion.

Holm (10-0) is 5-1 in her last six. She knocked out Nikki Knudsen in October of 2013 by second-round TKO and then Angela Hayes in December of 2013 by unanimous decision. She would beat Julian Werner in April of 2014 by fifth-round TKO to earn a UFC contract. She beat Raquel Pennington at UFC 184 by split decision in her UFC debut. She beat Marion Reneau at UFC Fight Night 72 by unanimous decision. She beat Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 by second round knockout.
