Frankie Perez Retires, Gets Blasted By Michael Bisping

Frankie Perez returned to action at last night’s (August 23, 2015) UFC Fight Night 74 from Saskatoon, SK, Canada, taking on mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout. However, it seemed to be Perez with the heavy hands, as he landed a huge shot in the opening frame, leading to a first-round TKO victory.

Perez earned a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for his efforts.

Despite his fantastic performance, Perez shocked the fans, as well as the entire MMA community when at just 26 years of age he announced his retirement from fighting in his post-fight speech. Perez stated that he just didn’t want to put his body or his family through this anymore, and that he scored his first, and last UFC victory in Canada.

Many although shocked, praised Perez for doing such a difficult thing like leaving fighting to focus on his family, but UFC on FOX analyst, and the always outspoken and polarizing Michael “The Count” Bisping did not praise the young fighter.

Bisping said that Perez apparently doesn’t have the “cajones” to fight, saying that the 26-year-old should leave fighting to the “real men”. Check out the Brit’s comments below:
