The main event of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 22 saw former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight title holder Frankie Edgar (20-4-1) do battle with Chad Mendes (17-4). The two combatants were vying for another crack at 145-pound gold. Many wondered what would be the deciding factor of this bout.

A left hook was “The Answer.”

As expected the action picked up quickly. Mendes landed a solid leg kick that caught Edgar off balance. “The Answer” threw one of his own, but it was checked. Edgar was able to get in a right hand. “Money” was popped with a counter right hand. Edgar stunned Mendes with a huge left hook for the knockout victory.
